There are a fair number of people who agree with you ... both fundamentalists and technalists. Enough of them, it seems, to cast an aura of caution over the whole marketplace. I know that I personally have become considerably more cautious over the past two months or so, and don't recall when I ever had such a large proportion of my portfolio in cash. Add to this the nibbling effect of the coming tax-based selling on a lot of stocks, and you may very well be right. "I bet the market is significantly lower than it is today by the end of the year."
