MG, Re: WEBS

None of my normal sites provides a key for the dividend rate of the WEBS. Sorry, I cannot help. Can I presume that you are annualizing the percentages?

I've always said that SPY and DIA are more tax-efficient than a mutual fund. It may be that they and the WEBS actually perform like a mutual fund. The NAV of a mutual fund definitely drops when the dividends are paid out. However, since most investors simply reinvest the dividends, the loaf of bread is just cut into more slices. Are you able to reinvest?

I've never taken the time to track it, but I suspect there would be a jump in price T-3 before the ex-dividend date for many high yielding stocks. There is a big-time exclusion from taxation (with strings attached) for dividends received by a corporation. You may have stumbled on the best way to play the game for a corporation.

Looks like F is trying to help you out today. Speaking of out -- out of COMR. Got my hoped-for pop.
