Penni,

I'm all for the split infinitive in "to boldly go...." I like it because it is meant to be heard, not read, and it contributes toward achieving the desired tone of escalated drama. In other circumstances it might not work as well.

In other words, the rule was broken for a specific reason.

Also, should it be "answer for" for "answer to"?

Is this correct above ?"?
