Jeff,

By December 1998, all tanks must meet state and federal laws that require corrosion protection, spill containment, and overfill protection to safeguard the environment and public health.

From your own article....this is what I was referring to....sure, there will be overlaps and extensions...I'm not saying this isn't viable and profitable, just saying that it will be fast and furious and then peter out.

Where the business (IMO) will be expanding and growing is not utilizing the standards which have been in place and many have already complied with, but rather the idea of the detection device itself...for insurance purposes.

Today, UST's are not metal and are very delicate (fiberglass), can even "rupture" when being place in the "hole"....they do not corrode but are very fragile and the leak detection is what will save these companies in the long run. It is very difficult to clean up some of these sites, especially when replacing old tanks....that have lead deposits from old "regular leaded fuel"...this material has to be drummed up and disposed of as hazardous waste.

This company is located in Florida and even when I was working in the environmental field there 10 years ago, the state was already mandating compliance then....much of the work has been done...and those that haven't finished are paying premiums for trying to do so by the end of the year.

Not against the industry......just pointing out that there could be a slow down. AND.....I know of several companies who might be interested in finding out more about this product....will let you know if they nibble.
