BW

I've had those kind of days, and it sucks.

Things could be worse - you could be a dell-head watching your world explode over the next three months. Oh wait, I forgot - Dell will be increasing 150% per year for at least the next 5 years!

Go Dell - LET'S MAKE SOME MONEY

Mike

[Sorry for this whiny post. I know this is a stock board, and not a support group]

Au contraire... The therapeutic value here is not to be ignored <g>.

I had a limit buy in for DO first thing yesterday too - I was spared the same fate by about an 1/8th.

bw...I don't know about others, but this place provides a lot of support. Who the hell else are we going to talk to about our Wall Street moves? The neighbor? My wife is tired of hearing about it because she never sees the money. Claims I keep it in gold coins under the basement (that was after I told her about LT's prediction some time ago...thanks LT). The handful of people I advise, don't even understand what a PE is. So this is it.

Bad ideas, good ideas...this is really the only regular place we can discuss our market thoughts instantly.

And since the market is such a big part of our lives, it makes sense that the people we talk to about it may become sounding boards for other personal things too. We've never met, but that is the electronic age. Nothing beats flesh and blood, and hopefully all of us have many good real life friends to share our lives with...but on a minute by minute basis, our forum here provides more than just financial chatter.

Basically working alone at home during the day, this place provides a connection to the world I would not have otherwise. Doubts, questions, fears and joys are shared here because we have a common connection. And as we begin to know each other the longer we remain here, the willingness to share personal things grows stronger. It may seem irrelevant to some, but that is why the net is so popular.

But care is needed not to allow it to consume too much time. Hopefully we have all found a balance.

Jake, BTW, has told us he "hates school" everyday since that day in hell at preschool. He is VERY happy to be home!
