Mark...

Jobs, et.al., are probably NOT lying about the production-ramp up curve. Clearly they are attempting to increase production. I am only pointing out that the "stuffing of the channel" tactic they are employing will eventually produce a iMac product surplus and an erosion of central margins somewhere down the road ( My guess is Q1 1999). This tactic also can produce an accounts receivable problem if Apple is assuring their retailers of term rebates and product returns ( I am trying to ascertain the extent of this but expect that it will take some time to verify those terms).
As for Apple's future product pipeline....I am not aware of any potential product that will impact the stock price dramatically over the next 2-3 Q.'s. I said I only trade the stock for now and look for highly pertinent insights into the stocks direction. Please understand that I think Apple will report a superb Qtr. (albeit a overstated one...but legal by present accounting standards) I expect a significant worsening of margins and core business going forward past this quarter. Good Luck to everyone.
