Latest comctl32.dll update from MS is 452KB 6/12/98 version 4.72.3110.9 which fixes some Y2k problems. Installing it before the QP update now allows the computer to reboot without crashing. But..... the QP net dl'er still crashes.

Corrupt dll, John?
My lawyer may want to depose you ;)

Since 40comupd.exe was happy with my 452KB v 4.72.3110.1 dll, it's probably identical to v 4.72.2106.4 -- just from a different MS package.

I could e-mail you the 452KB file; thought it was installed by IE 4.x, but could be from the 7-27 qp2.exe.
