No they don't date the Lenox Leaf. If they did, their reuse of news items might be even more transparent.

Have you had any contact with the company lately? I have had a great deal of difficulty contacting IR and getting my calls returned. Any news you have to pass along would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Euan Hayward

The PPG web site says that the trade journal "Industry Week" has named PPG one of the 100 best-managed companies in the world. Don't ask me if someone paid off Industry Week, which has included PPG in this listing every year since 1996; PPG's annual sales alone tell a story: $7.2 billion.

Other news from Lenox is also encouraging. The founding father has relinquished some control to the Board of Directors; decisions on dilution and contracts are being screened by several minds. And the number of shares, fully diluted, is down to 10.3 million.

The Board should consider doing a multi-month, recruiting-firm search for a top-level executive. Even if events prove that the firm already has such a person, a fast-growing company needs to look beyond its own experience for talent.

What do you think, Dan? Might your original note -- "best story ever" -- yet be correct?
