BellBoy - Off Topic Hey BBoy, remember Chris Alexander? Even as Amati was being bought by TXN (DEC 97, people were saying it was to early to invest in ADSL companies. Timing is everything, and at the low valuations after the market correction, now maybe a good time to buy your favorite ADSL Co, with the roll out of ADSL G.lite by many companies at the end of the year... In order to evaluate Amati in Jan 96, I looked at Westell, and Pairgain, basicly the only ones. At the time Amati's Technology ADSL/DMT, the current Standard, was easily a winner from my early DD. Though it was best to own Amati, Westell and Pairgain in the 1st half of 1996. Feb 96--------June 96 Amati $6------$36 WSTL $12----$80 Split PAIR $20-----$120 Split Those were the days my friend! Still looking for emerging Technologies. Researching Emerging technologies was my hobbie for years, until I put Research, The NET, and investing together in 1995. And right off the bat I found ADSL in 1995, before almost anyone knew what it was.. A technology that will touch everyone sooner or later, with 800 million POTS lines (phone lines) in the world that is not a understatement. I made a lot of friends on the SI Amati Thread, those whom I trust by the way the they posted objectively, with DD and honest opinions, for over two years. Amati as an investment is gone (Buy TXN) but the Friendships and Trust of many, will remain for a lifetime. Thanks for the headline NYBB. I Want My DMT JW@KSC
