I think there are close to 58mm shares out, so 1.5 off my head would be a bit short of 3%. Thayt would be about 1,74mm shares for 3%.

Anyone know if they have a date on the actual purchase? And price?

Yes. CheckFree would have most likely have executed a larger buyback, but they want to keep some cash available for potential acquisitions, etc. IMO it's not the number of shares that is important, it's the principle of the matter, and hopefully this will give CheckFree a "warm and fuzzy" towards "buy backs" down the road when they are rolling in the cash.
