Actually I don't think the company issued a warning until their hand was forced - one of the firms that covers MANU indicated that they were looking for some softness and the speculation started. MANU finally came out and issued a terse "we wont make the numbers - stay tuned for details."

I seem to recall that they were in a quiet period and their quarters are usually backloaded, but I can't help but think that they did not know about the shortfall sooner. I think that is one of the reasons for the huge decline the day of the announcement (40%) - loss of confidence.

All of this is from memory, but I think it is pretty close.

Hi Panita:

In the last report, did they kinda hint at a generalized-future downturn or specifically emphasized "just this time only", in your opinion?? Slightly beating the estimate now this time around, may not be enough for the full revival of the investors' confidence, especially if there are others who are claiming for a general sector-softness, for some time to come, imho. What do you think?

Also, for some short-term TA analyzers of MANU: what do your technical charts convey for this upcoming release? Pop-up after the release or doldrums continue?

**OT** any opinions on CYLK? ... looks like beaten down too.

regards,
-/Sonny.
