Mark....

There are many, many other Apple retailers. Comp USA is indeed the biggest and it can only be in their interest to declare the iMac rollout the "best ever." Careful what you read and believe as both Comp USA and Apple have been past guilty of overstatement and exaggeration. Just look back several years at each's revenue statements. I am neither pro nor con on the machine itself, I only question the veracity of the sales figures.
If any of you really believe "sales are sales" I strongly suggest you go out and get some coffee and read thru your WSJ history books. The garbage is littered with stock certificates of companies that reported "unbelievable" sales only to bloat their acct. receivable ledgers and ultimately have to restate their real earnings.
Mark... I agree with you that the company will not suffer the past problem of misinterpreted product demand. I only think that if the channel is stuffed too heavily it will significantly impact future quarters.
