Well I am sure glad that the tide is turning (a bit) on TNT. I think we have seen the apex of nVidia hype, and that it is downhill from here. As TNT hype decreases, I think we will see Banshee's hype increase. As SKI said, all of the ATI wins were probably sealed months ago, when there was no final silicon for any of the next-gen chips. Hey SKI, as JPA said, It's scary being at the top! Lookout, brotha! AS for Banshee not announceing OEM wins, I think we all know that that is due to the OEMs. How would this sound for a car salesman: " Yes, sir, this Jeep is top-o-the-line! Power everything, torque remodulation, paint scheme borrowed from NASA- you know they are actually using one of these babies on their next drive around Mars! 6 wheel drive suspension- it's won awards from everybody. And it is faaaaast! Yes sir!...But you should see next years model! Whooeee! Ain't nothing like it you've ever seen! Just awesome. And they will be coming out next week!" This is not how you make a sale TODAY. And boxmakers want to sell you today! Naturally they won't announce until they have plenty of the new parts to satisfy demand without backlog, and until they have depleted old product and satisfied any contracts. Or, until they feel that the extra cost is necessary. Hey, they don't announce great new upgrades, and neither do their competitors. Everybody wins by selling cheap old parts as long as possible. BTW, I used to work in sales (no, not cars, silly) and I used to love being last. By this I mean I loved being the last product they had to evaluate. They would see the rest, then come to me and buy the best! The hype is dying for TNT, and that is BEFORE THEY EVEN SHIP! This is crucial. And Banshee will jsut be getting its best publicity, right as it is shipping. Banshee taking so long may not be the worst thing in the world. Pierre: i have certainly noticed CREAFs products moving up the charts. And have gone quite long on CREAF as I believe they will thrash the estimates for the next two quarters. As for what it measures (shopping.com) I don't really know. But the key is that regardless of what it measures, it is certainly a good relative indicator. And as such surely shows an increase in CREAF products.
