Judy are you thinking CSCO would want to buy CIEN? I haven't been keeping up.

I wouldn't surprise me to see something happen with CIEN, especially with these prices. If I were CIEN, I would make the first move so that I could get some assurance that my stock would be worth something. Michael Burke says fair market value for CIEN is $14. I don't see anything resembling support at its current price.

Agree with your views on CSCO (of course). Maybe see some personnel cuts at Lucent to lighten up the overhead? Pure speculation, but with a workforce 10x CSCO's.....Shall I make it a formal prediction of 6 months?
