There is a lot of confusion here for good reason--the company has handled information flow extremely poorly, if not negligently. First of all, my memory jibes with Scott's that Manu warned only because its hand was forced. There was a huge drop in Manu stock for several days, with no news. Finally, a Manu analyst warned of problems with the quarter after conversations with Manu management. Finally, Manu issued a warning to the public saying that the quarter had been mishandled and they had trouble integrating their growing sales force. Us non-professionals got stuck with a 40% loss over one week. Now, it's quite clear that this was general industry flatness, not simply a one-time quarter event. Analysts are expecting a loss this quarter after a fat profit the year before, and I'm sure Manu management has guided those estimates to that level. I've lost confidence in Manu, but there's not much for me to do now except to hope for the eventual turnaround (or buyout?).
