Many do and have. That is why our equity mkt has slowly been deteriorating. When finally, a critical mass of institutional investors "GET IT" we get a crash. My guess is... next week. -Lucretius BTW- Don Hays over at Wheat First has been a bear on the mkt for the past 6 months and turned rabidly bullish on Tues because his sentiment model indicated a bottom in pessimism even though his fundamental questions hadn't yet been resolved (he forgets that sentiment changes in a bear mkt) and went 70% stocks and 30% bonds and NO cash. what does that tell you.
