Gabriel,

CPQ has been usually late getting the results it has targeted.
I think they can probably make their estimates for this quarter through
ledegerdemain. Eventually, however they are going to have to account for where everything went. Last quarters report did not take in all the DEC contributions to the financial statements.

Lehman Bros is lowering INACOM's Q3 estimates due to transition issues related to the move to BTO model. The Lehman report indicates that IBM and CPQ are supply constrained on 266 and 300 P2 desktop systems. On the other hand CPQ is making a big push into the Notebook computer arena which has higher margins.

There will be more difficulties with the channel as CPQ and others try to take their corporate business direct.

I need to do projections of CPQ over the next few quarters in order to
get specific with the earning estimates. This is a daunting task given the opacity of their balance sheet and income statements.

I am still wondering about the status of their restructuring program and all the layoffs.
