Steve, thats my whole point. I believe in god, but dont believe in literal translation of the bible for exactly those reasons. IMO, the Bible reflects the more and ethics of the time(s) it was written in, including sacrifice, murder, enslavement, rape, etc, and the reason that and justifications for them that were relevant to those periods in time. I think Bible reflects mans previous ideals of a time gone by, more than it does a living, relevant document. Mark
