Well, no, Steve; I would not consider transcription and translation problems in the KJV minor or unimportant.

For instance: "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." provided support for the murder of many innocent people during the Inquisition. Yet that phrase does not appear in the original scrolls. "Witches" were phenomena of Europe, not the Ancient Near East.
