Just to put my 2 cents in, I know of at least two MM that post on SI on stocks that they make market in. I've never known these particular guys to hype their stocks, but they certainly don't mind straightening someone out if they get their facts wrong. So you can't tell me others don't watch their stocks as well, to see what's being said on the threads.

I would say that EGGS is not your average NASDAQ stock I'm sure there are many more shareholders than 2000!
I would also say that by and large SI seems to have more tech stocks with larger followings but, your average plain vanilla NASDAQ stock is not influenced to the extent you think by SI or Yahoo
