I agree with that. I'm just giving the first hand impressions I got from looking at an actual display and gaging my and other customer's reactions to the iMac....

Apple will do best to sell as many as it can at this price until it catches up. Once it catches up then it can lower price.

IMHO in the future they could sell it at a profit for $100-200 dollars less a pop together with a printer....

I think plain production cost is about $700 (before profits, advertisement, design cost, retooling, etc), so long term price should move to somewhere around $1000.
