Puts and calls are "O P T I O N S"....
The right but not obligation to buy or sell an underlying security at a latter date, based on a strike price and expiration date.
Not quite the same as shorting a stock which is borrowing shares, selling them and having to replace them at a later date....hopefully at a lower price. That's why they call it "selling short".
Did Yousef mention "put" or "short"...I recall "short".
Now, Stocky, please tell me about my business and I won't lecture you about yours, Janitor at Intel. Have you ever seen me lecture Yousef about the fine points of process technology? Nope.
