Hi Annie,..Re:Has your brokerage added your split shares to your account?

As of close of business Sept. 8, DLJ had not added the additional shares to my account. They claim 3 days transaction time and since Monday was a holiday, they should show up tomorrow. They don't show them in the portfolio although in the transaction recordings they acknowledge that they are received. In a digital environment, this seems like questionable business operations.

Regards,

Lee

Hi AnnieO and all,

just for your information: at german brokers it takes up to three weeks before split shares of U.S. companies are added to the account. I closed all my accounts in Germany because of this (also to escape $75 per trade for US stocks in N.Y.) and switched to Ameritrade recently. Does anybody have different broker recommendations?

Thanks.

Hans-Juergen

...Has your brokerage added your split shares to your account?...
My brokerage is stating that they will not add these shares to my account until they hear from the transfer agent. They are stating that the earliest would be on Friday [9-11-98]...

The additional shares from the split of DELL stock were listed in my account when I logged on at 9:43 AM EST on Tuesday morning (9-8-98)
