Jim,

I was just told that the cash in the account is insured by SIPC to the typical $100,000 limit, but that you can have your cash rolled over into a money market fund (Alliance Capital, which I've used before), and that is insured in its own right. Stocks in the account are insured, I think, to $75MM (correct me if I'm wrong!). I do like the Alliance Capital Fund sweep.
