AMD profits in the 3Q from delayed 2Q chip buying as a result of the Windows 98 introduction delay. Demand is robust for for both high and low end uPs.It takes a little while for OEM to ship 350 MHZ K6-2 PCs as the part was just announced recently in 8/98. It looks like AMD will ship 4 MM K6-2 this qtr. ASP should improve as product mix leans toward 300 MHZ+ part for 100 MHZ system bus (Front side) now that most older part inventory has been depleted.
