The Hedge Funds and Deflation Contingent see only part of the story. The current dollar slide will continue and ultimately cause that short position to unwind. However large it may be.

Anyone ask themselves why the dollar would behave as it has over the past weeks in anticipation of a rate cut? Is unemployment higher in America than in Europe? Did the market in America fall further than in Europe? Why isn't the marke worried about a German cut? Why does the German CB have to talk up the dollar calling its latest movement a "technical correction." ?
