I'm beginning to buy now, because I can't predict the future. Everything I said might be wrong. Maybe the Brazilians have watched what happened to Malaysia and Russia, and are coming up with a plan to go down a different road. Maybe there is some PC game that every kid in America will demand their parents get them this Christmas, and it runs adequately on a Pentium II, and next year's version requires a Merced. Maybe the Japanese will adopt SEC accounting rules, write off all bad debts, and disband the Ministry of Trade. Maybe the Russian President will quit drinking, and the American President will quit lying. Yeah, I know, I'm reaching here, but sometimes surprises are of the pleasant kind.

Agreed, get ready for the real panic/blood when Q3 corporate earnings
come in, with the expectation that Q4 will be worse, and that next
year things will continue to deteriorate.
