All banks with exposure world-wide are still short candidates; not just those listed in the title of this thread as they are just examples of big banks. I would include the brokers as short fodder, too.

<Geez I feel bad about taking advantage of other peoples' misery. >

Keep in mind the market is not right or wrong; it just is. So there is certainly no need to feel guilty whether you make money on the long side vs short side.

Not sure of the amount of exposure for BancBoston to LAm, however I do know they have substantial operations in Brazil (as I recall). They are on my list.
