Amazon.com sells BOOKS, I said BOOOOKS, and are losing $60 million+ this year. They are NOT a technology company.

He did not say they were a technology company, he called them an Internet stock. They are the leading bookseller on the Internet, close to being the leading Music seller on the Internet, and are making moves into the growing DVD market. The fact that they are doing this without an investment of "thousands and thousands of engineers, or programmers, or scientists" is a plus. No guarantees on their success, but they are better positioned than most.
