By what authority to you pick and choose your parts? We don't. Since we cannot be 100% of having the 100% truth, we follow the Qur'an where God has made us a promise that this book will remain unchanged for all time. And for 1400 years, it has. There are Qur'ans fro the time of Muhammad (Pbuh) that still exist today (3 actually, one in Leningrad) and they are 100% verbatim to today's copies. While I can't tell you which parts are definitely from God, I can tell you which ones are definitely not from God. The ones that are historically and scientifically inaccurate, the ones that contradict themselves, the ones that have additions to them, the ones that are illogical by the standards of logic, etc. are 100% not from God. It doesn't take a genius to figure out God does not make mistakes nor would he allow His Word to be lost in translations....not one bit. You do by denying any one passage of the bible. Just one passage does it! Hey, like John 1:1! Remember it; LoL.....you can't assume the hypothesis in order to get to your conclusion! In other words, if we're debating the validity of the Bible, you can't say it's true. John 1:1 is not the message that God sent Jesus (Pbuh). Notice John is speaking here, not Jesus (Pbuh). These are man's words, not God's. Prove that the errors do not invalidate the notion that the Bible is God's words and then we can discuss John 1:1. Right now, the errors cast doubt on the entire Bible's validity. Hey, Raymond, guess what, I disagree with you about the bible says. Nothing new there! But lets not go there again. We've been there over and over, and over again! Lets take your belief specifically. Where do you justify yourself that man must save himself? Instead of disagreeing, prove your point. Prove Jesus (Pbuh) said that Man needed his salvation. There's a book (I don't have the name right now but would be happy to find it) that is required reading for all people who study to become priests and ministers (The author is Dr. Kelly). In this book, there are 2 main points made - they are the sum total of the book. And those points are 1. God is not Three, and 2. Man is not saved by the blood of Jesus Christ (Pbuh). Now tell most of the Islamic world what your doing Or you mean what most of the newspapers in America are saying? Try visiting "a different country" and you'd be surprised at the change. And if the rest of the world is wrong about what the Islamic world is doing to the Jews, prove it! How ignorant are you about what is going on in the Middle East? Innocent Muslims are getting killed by the thousands yet no one cares to report that. If you ever could remove the venom in your heart for the religion, you might be able to see the forest and not the trees. Peace Also Be Unto You!
