<who has the best data feed for trading the spoos?>

I know of one person who has been very involved in all aspects who is firmly rooted in the belief that the fastest feed is Bonneville. I have heard arguments that BMI is slower from people who have run it side by side with a PC Quote feed. I sort of think this is preposterous because I usually am looking at the prices here at home as I'm getting a fill and they match up, except in fast markets. I use Bonneville on a cable modem and perhaps I am "out" on an average of a few minutes a month. The longest outage I can remember was about 15 or 20 minutes last January.

Prior to the cable modem I used Bonneville on a sat dish and FM feed. In my part of the country the standard BMI sat is not large enough and so I would get outages on overcast days. Also, even the standard size is pretty ugly to have in your yard. One meter across. The FM is better than the sat but still is not as reliable as a cable modem.

A friend swore by Signal and PC Quote off a sat dish. But even he went to cable modems for the speed. He's quite happy with a provider he found on an internet site somewhere.

I've heard quote.com is just as reliable as BMI (Bonneville) and charges less.

Anyway, my suggestion is to find software you are happy with and then find the provider. There is software that only works with BMI, only with Signal, and so forth. I'm quite happy with BMI, but BMI is not the least expensive provider out there.

Another thing about BMI, for better speed you should turn the "news" feature off.
