Relax. More information on LU/NEC. Doesn't affect Rambus. Note the last paragraph.

Now, all we have to worry about is Bill keeping it tied up.

NEC, Lucent agree to cooperate on embedded DRAMs

TOKYO, Sept 10 (Reuters) - NEC Corp said on Thursday that it and Lucent Technologies Inc (NYSE:LU - news) had agreed
to cooperate on embedded dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) chips.

''Under the agreement, NEC will provide embedded DRAM cell designs from its ASIC (application specific integrated circuit) library, enabling Lucent to offer
DRAM as well as static random-access memory (SRAM) and flash memory within ASIC solutions,'' NEC said in a statement.

An NEC spokesman said NEC would manufacture ASIC chips designed by Lucent using NEC technology.

New chips resulting from the cooperation between the two companies would mainly be used in communications systems and were likely to go on sale in June or July
next year, the spokesman said.
