"the fear?, that would be me."

well said, dale.

the depth of the problem speaks
volumes to me...i feel apprehension
where there once was fundamental
enthusiasm.

and i am conservative, by no means.

the extremity of my shift in attitude gives
me a startling perspective when i consider
those who are even slightly more traditional...
and what they must be feeling...

Believe me, Dale, I now look at the full propane tank, stacked wood and stocked freezer in a whole new light, feeling grateful I have acquired these habits much earlier.

Looking back to AG's comments, I think we can see them as a listing of all the sorts of changes/setbacks that might or might not cause us pain. There is simply no way, or at best tenuous ways, to understand in advance if the things that have gone boom in the night are going to affect current trends in a serious way or whether their impact will die out pretty soon.

It is uncertain, unsettling, this not knowing...

Clinton, or anyone for that matter, the best manager?
Don't believe in such things.

Nancy

>no one can run the country better than bill<

Can I nominate "no one" to run the country?
