bede, MBT is clearly the better of the two.

The fact that the head of marketing from Cybertrader keeps advertising on this thread sort of proves it.

I suggest you pop into the #MBTrading client support channel during market hours and ask traders how they feel.

Then go to Cybertrader's client support channel and ask how they are doing.

There has been ALOT of smoke and fluff surrounding cybertrader from the start on SI.

I have read some of the most ridiculous things on the cyber thread.

I would like to rant and rave about all the ill will some of the Cyber people have cultivated, but I know it does no good.

To answer your questions: The fills are absolutely dependent on your ability to work your trade and the liquidity of the particular stock.

This is the case with any trading system.

I get fills and confirmations within one or two seconds if I am crossing another ECN. If I am posting a bid or offer away from the inside market then my fill could come in a second, a minute or never, that is dependent on timing and the market.

In other words, in general, the quality of your fills are much more a reflection on your ability to trade than on the broker.

Having said that, MBT provides more order routes than cyber, so there is a difference there.

MBT has many more clients and therefore much more depth as far as equipment, servers phone lines etc.

MBT has an ex Market Maker on staff.

MBT has way better customer support.

MBT provides exactly the tools you need to make loot.

Remember, whoever you choose to go with, take your time getting started.

Trade small until you are comfortable with the tools.

Good luck, if you have any other specific questions, I can give you my totally biased opinions anytime, just leave a dime on the counter.

Don't confuse bias with B.S.

Just because they attach the word Cyber to a bunch of stuff doesn't count for a whole lot when it's time to trade.
