Been cooking up some more "89" experiments in the dogatory, here's what's left after the smoke cleared...

Some of you are familiar with stochrsi, I have modified the formula to apply slowing. ie an 89,34 stochrsi would be equal to a 89,1,34. I have slowed it to 13 periods. I guess this may actually be a double smoothing as one is already slowing the rsi to 34. But I'm not a mathematician.

Meta and parity formulas at the bottom of the hunde report.

So let's drink a slow double smoothie:

Looking at the dow daily with a stochrsi 89,13,34 and a 21 ema of same.

patterns:
recent Head and shoulder break signaled a sell and previous IHS a buy.

buys:
a crossover
a move up through 30.
earlier.. on up turn below 30.

sells:
a crossover
a move down through 70.
earlier... on turn down above 70

Synopsis: After the recent break of H&S it is now setting up for a bottom and possibly the head of an IHS. The previous IHS gave a nice run. The lowest value was 14.21 on 8/1/96 and you all know what happen after that. We are now at 16.25 and dropping. (I have the dow from 1990 on.) If I didn't know any better I'd say we have a 1000+ point run ahead of us.

Take a peek, I know this is only 1 indicator but I say a big hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Also interesting to apply this same unit to other stocks.

Those that care to follow along... snore >g<

Stochrsi formula with slowing for MetaStock:

mp1:=Input("RSI Periods",1,377,89);
mp3:=Input("Slowing Periods",1,377,13);
mp2:=Input("EMA Periods",1,377,34);

Mov(Sum((RSI(mp1)-LLV(RSI(mp1),mp1)),mp3)
/Sum((.0000001+(HHV(RSI(mp1),mp1)-(LLV(RSI(mp1),mp1)))),mp3),mp2,E)*100

Translated for Parity:

MOV(StatMovTot((RSI(89)-Lowest(RSI(89),89)),13)
/StatMovTot((Highest(RSI(89),89)-Lowest(RSI(89),89)),13),34,"E")*100

Ya want to get more complicated? For confirmation on the above try a 13ema of the stochdmi89,21 use 30/70 buy/sell rules along with trendline breaks (hide the stochdmi)

Or even a stochimi 89,34

enough, my specs are a foggin up

I better be careful with these matches too

Doug, thanks.

Regarding MTON. The news you sited was no big deal. However, on the Yahoo thread, someone posted that Red Chip re-iterated their strong buy on MTON. That plus small caps with good earnings coming up are oversold probably helped too. Don't have very high hopes for today though, unless congress decides to pass a law authorizing Executive Priviledge for BJ's in office.

Regards,
Chris

Bdog,

AILP has an intersection I call a dog leg, where it drops on down the exact same parallel after a false b/o in the first hump of the 2 hump, 3 yr pattern, It's location is precisely 1 cubie DOWN from what forms the precise center of a perfectly symetrical pattern, look to that dog leg to setup the lines if you really need to see them

scratch that, dog leg is 1 cubie BELOW, the most obvious trendline under the first hump which I say is in perfect symetry with the channel top/bottom baring that one breakdown.. which means we know have a new cordinate system to anchor an acceleration, bears accelerated, now bulls will.

I saw support at 3.88 , but it's actually 4.25, hell i redraw the lines daily if helps enhance the symetry of the pattern, apparently that's what happened here. That parallel trendline icon, sure does wonders for creating tradeable patterns. you may call my support, resistance and I concur it is, but if we make it there, it'll run!

someone, I forget who is calling for 10, and I don't even recall 1/2 of what he said but he did indicate he was in. I'm not, but I want some soon as I get the money to the broker. 500 shares for me, I'll support it tomorrow even if, and especially if you'll support it today, and I don't mind it a bit that I'll have to pay more tomorrow. Let's get 1 tradeable pattern in the tool pouch and see if we can't bang out some production trades

Did I mention the acceleration that's setting up! Bring out your voodoo folks or this co. and this COUNTRY. is going to u no whr in a u no wht IN A NY SECOND! G'Nite all! :-)
