Hi Patrick,

>>>>>>> Besides, I'm not so certain people are bearish enough. If I could be allowed a moment as a total fatalist this market certainly has the potential to really rock peoples socks. The average person has no idea what a market failure can cause. So, I do not see that concern. I see a bunch of people in the business that are concerned, but the average Joe(sephine) is not. <<<<<<<<

I have been talking to my friends, the average JOE and JOSEPHINE, and they keep on asking me what to buy right now, so they do not appear to be that bearish. When I talk technical analysis to them, they think Im nuts and discount it totally, and bring up comments like analysts are saying this is the time to buy, and not surprisingly they mention ABBEY JOSEPH COHEN.

My broker told me something funny. One of his customers is upset that his stock are moving down and he was going to liquidate all his stocks and JUST BUY DELL yesterday.

Another one of my friends, bought alot when the DOW was at 9000, and now is convinced and bought more on MONDAY. during the runup.

Either my friends are unlucky with their timing or they are an indication of the average. So I agree that the average person is not that full of fear. Here's one of the common comments they make - that people like me, TRADERS and those who SHORT the market, is what is ruining this market and pushing it down and that I and other traders will be the big losers.

Doesnt seem to be a strong amount of fear with my friends.

Seeya

i don't think John Q.Public will sell stocks, they'll hold that's their mindset today...BUT the real problem is they won't buy either...that alone would send the markets much much lower IMO...

of course your right the problems have been here for well over a year...and capitulation has not happened...it probably will though...
