pursuant to your request, I did not post on G* and LOR threads - so don't blame me for the crash. However, rumors are starting to surface that the cause of failure was rocket ran into a flock of chicken littles.

At this time that release seems like a true waste of good WLL news. Some quick numbers on G*.

Book value loss on 50% decline of the Q's 6.5% is 0.75/share. The biggest loss to Qualcomm could well be a delay in the approx 1 billion of revenue which was to be payable in 8 qtrly installments starting Q1 2000. I can only speculate that the most likely effect of this delay is the viability of the Q funding Leap.

A very sad day indeed. nf
