<<<Creating reliable ArF laser sources with lens bandwidths of 0.7 picometer and power specifications of 5 watts at 1,000 Hz was another vital need. This expertise was developed in parallel by Cymer and Lambda Physik, both of whom supply ArF lasers for the PAS 5500/900 system.>>>

So, how do you like that part about Labmda!!! Looks like ASML's top of the line system has a Lambda laser inside. The truth is finnaly comming out about Cymer. The competition is here and there is something wrong with the company(dont dissmiss the lawsuites so fast).

You will note from ASMLF's press release that Lamda Physik is also mentioned as a supplier of ArF lasers for the new stepper. Is this the beginning of real competition for Cymer?? I recall speculation a number of months ago that Lamda was targeting the ArF laser for their research and leaving the KrF laser to Cymer.

Would any of our tech people care to comment on the impact of this new development on Cymer?

Thanks in advance.
