I'm one who honestly believes in Amazon.com's long term business potential. However, I have NO idea where the stock may be heading. Just interested in others opinions at this point. I must say that I am thinking of buying now.

I've always believed (but sometimes fail to practice to my great financial detriment) that investment success requires both fundamental and technical analysis to determine whether or not to buy (or short) a given stock.

While I'm bearish on AMZN based on its fundamentals, if I were in fact bullish I'd steer clear of this stock for the time being because technically AMZN is very weak right now. Regardless of our differences on its fundamentals, the chart indicates this should be heading lower over the next few weeks.

FWIW,

Glenn and others, I would be interested in what you think of AMZN now that it has
fallen so far from its highs. Do you think it is a good value now? I don't want to hear
from the bears who always scream that they are just a bookseller and B&N is going to
crush them....blah, blah, blah. I used to follow this thread regularly, but got tired of the
same old crap that was posted daily.

Alex,

I have to say I am really an AMZN bear. I do feel it is oversold now but is still overvalued. I went long today at 77 1/2 anticipating getting back into the mid 80s as a technical bounce. I cannot predict the future on this atock and readily admit that. I rode it short way too long.

It has become clear to me that the market likes this stock and it has strength as much as I do not like it. I join them if I can guess an upmove.
