Darrell: Good points. I agree with everything you are saying. The transformation of our world will see computers or such devices central to everything from information transfer to entertainment. However, I am concerned about WHEN this will happen. In ten or twenty years there is no doubt that Drucker will be shown to be correct.

However, as we all know IBM has had its ups and downs over the years as well.

The global environment does not support a massive investment in tomorrow's technology (at least for the next few years). BTO leaders like DELL will increasingly lead the market (witness CPQ's pathetic attempts to try a modified version of this with a combined retail/BTO amalgamation). But I am concerned about what happens over the next few months.

As a sometime DELL investor I am pondering the best time to pick up more shares. Now is not the time. Why not wait till this market bottoms (along with DELL) and then reap the profits.
