Henry, On your number 3: "3. Yes Gingrinch would be next in line. But there will be a considerable time delay between the two so Gore would have an opportunity to appoint a Vice President who would then step ahead of Gingrich in line." The problem is that the Senate would have to approve Gore's nominee for VP, and we all know who controls the Senate. Who would he appoint that would be approval? Is there a Jerry Ford clone in the Democratic Party? Sam Nunn? Someone who might not have presidential aspirations would be the approvable possibility. I.e., someone without any real power. Cool. Just what we need when the much of the rest of the world is falling apart. Don't you just love our wise statesmen in DC?
