Dell to Build Third Ireland Plant

Dell will build a third manufacturing plant in Ireland at a cost of $90 million,
Ireland's Industrial Development Agency said. The expansion will make the
Round Rock, Texas, computer maker the largest employer in Ireland's
high-tech sector. Dell, which came to Ireland in 1990, said in January it
would create 3,000 additional jobs in Ireland over five years. The new plant
will add 1,700 jobs, and increase Dell's work force in the country to 6,000.
Dell attributed its rapid expansion in Ireland to increased European demand.
