Ramsey,

Are you suggesting you think this downdraft in the overall mkt has about run its course? Is all the bad news already out there? I too am salivating at what I believe is the upcoming Mother of all buy ops..

dave

My heartfelt Condolences to G* and LOR holders. While not a shareholder I found the news of the failure rather depressing, thinking of all the time and energy spent on the construction of sats and everything else. Seems that these honest and imaginative companies,Q included, are having more than their share of bad luck. Although I suppose some might say this bad luck is a result of hubris, 12 birds on one rocket, flipping the bird at ETSI, etc, I'm not one of them.

Jim,

I pay a lot of attention to these talking heads because one way or another, they ususally broaden my horizon and tell me something that I have overlooked. Following their recommendation, however, is a completely different story.

Both Biggs and Cohen motivated me to check into their respective stories. While I find Barton's global picture to be true, Cohen's 9300 by year end, economy strong, earnings no problem to be all BS. The market has a mind of its own. Biggs may be correct in his analysis but completely wrong on market reaction. Same obviously hold true for Cohen.

Any idea what the closing hours are going to be like today?

In the mean time, put in your reservation for the Ken Starr hour scheduled to be released on the net tomorrow.

Ramsey

Amen. People misspeak and technicals sometimes misspeak, but people misspeak first. Anyone who chooses not to try to understand the combination is destined to disappointment, and there is lots of disappointment ahead. Watch mutual fund flows in particular for the deneument of the decade. Jack Bridges 9/10/98
