Names President/CEO September 09, 1998 Deerfield Beach, Fla, Sept. 1st /- Interaxx Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ OTC: INAX) today announced the appointment of Carl J. Golasa as President and Chief Executive Officer. He reports to the Interaxx Technologies Board of Directors. In making the announcement, the Board of Directors stated. "The impressive scope of Carl's experience and broad-based knowledge of a full complement of business operations in the electronics industry makes him an ideal choice to lead Interaxx Technologies. Possessing an exceptional 25-year background of achievement with leading global electronic products organizations and spanning several continents, Carl Golasa was affiliated for the past five years with an international marketing group. In his role, he had full functional management responsibilty for its global business. He successfully led the organization to market position involving electronic products such as commercial vehicle black box controls, in-flight entertainment equipment and primary batteries, established a global marketing strategy and instituted a vigorous program identifying new products and marketing opportunities. Previously, he had been President of an American/Taiwan joint venture electronic products group where he was instrumental in building the US organization and achieving substantial sales in design, development and marketing of semiconductor and computer based electronic products. From 1979 to 1988, Golasa was with AEG-Telefunken AG, Frankfurt, Germany where he served as Vice President North American Operations, semiconductor group, and as a member of the Board of Management for all AEG-Telefunken North American operations and, before appointment as Vice President, as National Sales Manager and Distribution Sales Manager for the semiconductor products group. He was the first American to be promoted to position of Vice President within this US $5 billion German electronics firm. Prior to that, he was with Solid State Scientific, CMOS semiconductor manufacturer, serving as National Distribution Sales Manager where he successfully developed and implemented the firms tactical and strategic distributor sales program. He began his career in the industry in electronic component distribution sales in the Northeastern United States and ultimately served as vice president sales for a midsize electronic component distribution firm.
