Still, NNC/NN is holding up pretty well today all things considered. May be a good sign.

Doug, As i said, the Fed will be hamstrung by downward pressure on the dollar caused by political intrigue in Washington. It could happen but this move will do next to nothing as the morass is deep and getting worse.

Bill Clinton is the most over-rated president in history. He came into office and road the coattails of an economy that was turning positive after the recession of the early 90s and has taken or been given credit for something he didn't do--revive the economy. What he is responsible for and should be given complete credit for is irresponsible behaviour and negligence of duty in the face of mounting economic and social upheavals around the world. If America wants to remain the leader of the free world it has to start electing people that are up to the task.
