I2, Clinton resigning is a market positive in my view. Then the market has to start to wonder about Gore and the fund raising mess.

IMHO Clinton doesn't matter...earnings do. His absence
of leadership has been with us since January and only
recently being used as an excuse to sell. To me, the
important news of yesterday was Japan's apparent decision to
take the "easy" way out of the banking problem through the
cosmetic attempt to bolster bank performance by lower the
cost of funds. The other major piece of news came out of
a Congressional subcommittee dealing with less than a $4 billion
IMF contribution, substantially less than the $18 billion
requested.

Clinton will go down as failing the Nation at a time we needed
leadership the most. Not unexpected in my book. This weekend
promises to be extraordinarily humiliating for him and I actually
don't wish to see that. Unfortunately he has only himself to blame.
