And AMD thought they could make a fortune with the K6.

And IDT thought they could make a fortune with the Lose CHIP.

re - As long as it is perceived that there is money to be made in the x86 business, there will be venture capital and R&D money directed towards building new processors.

Scumbria,

AMD and NSM have done a lot to dispel that perception. You say you don't own any of those stocks, so speaking objectively, do you really believe they are about to turn losses into profits anytime soon.
