Here's a small gem: Spectrum Signal Processing (SSPIF). The company makes digital signal processing (DSP) solutions utilizing Texas Instruments and ADI chipsets. The DSP market is estimated to be growing about 30% annually. SSPIF is positioned to be one of the prime beneficiaries of that growth as its designs facilitate DSP applications. The company's backlog is expanding and it has predicted major growth for 2H98 and beyond. It is a very small company and the stock has taken a beating along with other small techs, but it is well worth checking out as a company to buy and hold and later kick yourself for not buying loads more.
