regarding >Don't underestimate the public. Most people feel that the Republican "lynch" Party was behind this entrapment of the President. Yes I agree, many think this. And the fact that Clinton won his second term with everybody knowing that he lied on TV about Genifer Flowers and with the PJ case in the air means he was judged to be a leader despite his indiscretions which is what the republicrytes dont get.< ---------- So what you are suggesting is that Linda Tripp is simply a radically partisan person wanted to get Clinton no matter what methods had to be used? So you think that Tripp, if she was strongly opposed to Clinton being President, would have trudged to work every day for four years to work in the WH, surrounded by people loyal to Clinton's politics? And then she signed up for another four years after Clinton's re-election? Somehow I just don't see it. The way it seems to me is that the Clinton Presidency collapsed from within. Another thing that doesn't make sense with that Tripp/Republican theory is that it was Linda Tripp who went out of her way to tell Time Magazine that Kathleen Willey, immediately after her encounter with the President in her visit to see him, did have her makeup/hair mussed, but was "flushed and happy"..."it was not a case of sexual harassment". Clearly though, at some point Linda Tripp decided that some aspects of Clinton's Presidency were distastful to her. Or maybe she was mad for being removed from her job at the White House, branded a "loose cannon", and banished to the Pentagon. At any rate, I sincerely doubt that Linda Tripp was a hired gun of the Religious Right.
