The great problem with options, and even leaps, is that you suffer disproportionately, and perhaps totally, from a delay in good results. The end result could be as good, or almost as good, as you expect. But if it is much delayed, you could be in serious trouble.

In my opinion there is virtually no chance that Globalstar's projected 3rd quarter 99 start date will not be further pushed out. And no chance whatsoever that the market will not expect it to be.

Any further crash will be severely punished. As will any slippage in launch dates, or in gateway rollout. Both of which will almost certainly happen, to some degree.

After the stock fails to sharply rebound, and drifts down (after perhaps a few days small recovery) people are gonna decide they don't want to go through the long wait. With bad news exposure, but little upside potential, for some while at least.

I expect to get back in but not for a while. Sold the G* shares I had bought back on launch speculation Friday today at 11.5.

I'll get them back cheaper several months hence.

Sure was a bummer.
